21st century Revival
Challenges & Preservation Efforts
A first round of care
As a private estate, the Château’s care and the preservation efforts to safeguard the monument’s sustainability rest in the hands of its owners. In June 2021, our initiative took up these responsibilities.
Guided by deep respect for the Château’s original character, its timeless charm, familial roots, and the traces of history that make it so endearing, our approach seeks to preserve its essence, its time-worn elegance, and artistic treasures while thoughtfully reintroducing life to its spaces.
We also embrace the 21st century’s innovations as opportunities, not intrusions.
Urgent interventions stabilized areas of deterioration, while foundational works laid the path for the Château’s revival.
Stabilizing interventions.
Treatment of a xylophagous capricorn beetle attack underway in the only small part of the Château’s beam structure made out of pine - 95% of its massive structure presents the original oak beams, thankfully impervious.
Preventive measures.

Utilities.
Groundworks and connections at the foot of Château’s South Tower.
Long term planning.
From 2021, new trees and bushes have been re-planted on the grounds every year as part of the estate’s ground management.

With each step, the Château is returning to life, in an adventurous journey of preservation and renewal.
Our aim is for this historic treasure to stand resilient and full of purpose in the 21st century and beyond, allowing it to inspire and enchant for generations to come.
